Friends of SpiritHorse of Ohio Endowment

Friends of SpiritHorse of Ohio Endowment was formed to provide the charitable funding necessary to allow for the provision of therapeutic riding and Hippotherapy services to disabled children, veterans and adults.  Charitable contributions will be consolidated and then redistributed to authorized providers of therapeutic riding and Hippotherapy services.

Contributions will be granted through two possible paths.  The primary focus of the contributions will be to provide individual grant subsidies for patients who can benefit from therapeutic riding or Hippotherapy services but who do not have the personal funding to afford these services.  The second type of contribution through the Friends of SpiritHorse of Ohio Endowment will be to provide funding for the purchase of tangible, current assets for authorized providers of therapeutic riding and Hippotherapy services.  These asset purchases will be focused on assisting provider facilities’ needs related to equipment, tools, horses or supplies that enhance the quality or quantity of patient care that can be provided.

Friends of SpiritHorse of Ohio Endowment works under the umbrella of the Greene County Community Fund and is overseen by an independent board of directors.  The board includes Janet Channel (president), Jim Percival, Anne Gerard, and Mark Ford.
